North of Launceston is Tamar Ridge Wines, located on a 55 hectare vineyard in the West Tamar Valley. The Kayena Vineyard is the cornerstone of the Tamar Ridge and Devil’s Corner labels, 40 kilometres north of Launceston.
The vineyard is planted with a range of cool climate varieties, including sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, riesling, chardonnay and pinot noir. At this working winery you’ll see state-of-the-art winemaking techniques, but with more than a few concessions to the traditional techniques that have served winemakers for centuries. At the cellar door you can taste award-winning wines, produced from the Kayena grapes and fashioned into individual wine styles that speak of their cool climate origins.
Take in the scenery and landmarks of the Tamar Valley, including the Batman Bridge, as we fly you in your own private air-conditioned helicopter.
