For those who want it all… The North Coast Explorer is a must-do experience for those who like to see beautiful mountain panorama's, pristine beaches and untouched nature reserves. Boarding your luxurious helicopter,we depart Launceston Airport on our way to Mount Arthur where on days with good weather you have breath taking views over North- and Central Tasmania.
From Mount Arthur we continue tracking Northbound until we meet the Bass Strait.
We’ll fly you past the historic Low Head Lighthouse and Pilot Station, setup in 1805, it is Australia's oldest continuously used pilot station surrounded by beautiful coastline, lagoons and beautiful sweeping beaches.
From Low Head we’ll cross the Tamar River in a few moments from where you’ll love the beautiful beaches below us on our way to Port Sorell in Tasmania’s Central North. From Port Sorell we’ll track back to show you Launceston’s biggest attraction: The Cataract Gorge before we take you back to reality upon landing.
Feeling peckish? Why not take advantage of our optional landing sites (free of charge) on the way back at Josef Chromy Wines or on the way out to The Leaning Church for lunch or morning / afternoon tea or perhaps for that special occasion.
